Four Mercedes Vito VIP interiors manufactured in Istanbul, shipped by air to South Africa and installed at our Johannesburg premises after customs clearance.
Silver VIP Design completed a VIP interior project involving four Mercedes Vito vehicles for South Africa. The interior components were manufactured in Istanbul, transported to South Africa by air and installed at our Johannesburg premises following customs clearance.
The project brought together our production work in Istanbul and local installation in Johannesburg.
Manufactured in Istanbul, Installed in Johannesburg
Production and vehicle installation took place in two separate locations.
The bespoke interior components were produced in Istanbul before being shipped to South Africa by air freight. After customs clearance, the components were installed in the vehicles at our premises in Johannesburg.
The project therefore involved interior design and manufacturing alongside international transport, customs procedures and installation in South Africa.
Two of the Four Vehicles Were Armoured
Two of the Mercedes Vito vehicles in this project were armoured. Their armouring work was carried out separately in South Africa.
Silver VIP Design did not undertake the armouring. Our scope for these vehicles covered the VIP interior design, manufacture of interior components and installation.
The VIP interior work and the vehicles’ armouring were separate parts of the overall project.
Original Italian Nappa Leather
Original Italian Nappa leather was used in the project, forming an important part of the passenger cabin’s upholstery specification.
The seating, decorative surfaces, lighting and passenger equipment were brought together within the VIP interior concept.

Heated, Cooled and Massage Seats
The VIP seating included heating, cooling and massage functions.
These features were incorporated to give passengers a choice of comfort settings during their journeys. The seats formed a central part of the project’s passenger-focused specification.
Apple iPad Control System and Apple TV
The technology specification included an Apple iPad control system and Apple TV.
The iPad provided an interface for the cabin functions integrated into the project, while Apple TV formed part of the multimedia installation.
European Audio System
A European audio system complemented the multimedia equipment. Together with the display and control equipment, it formed part of the technology installed in the rear passenger cabin.
Indel B Refrigerator
An Indel B refrigerator was included in the interior specification.
Providing chilled drink storage within the passenger area added a practical feature to the VIP cabin alongside its seating and multimedia equipment.
RGB Lighting and Starlight Ceiling
RGB lighting and a starlight ceiling completed the interior’s visual specification.
These features contributed to the atmosphere of the cabin alongside the leather upholstery, seating and decorative finishes.
Mercedes Sprinter and Hyundai Staria VIP Options
This particular South African project consisted of four Mercedes Vito vehicles. Customers considering a different base vehicle can also explore our other interior conversion services.
Our Mercedes Sprinter VIP conversion service provides a starting point for projects with different seating and passenger-space requirements.
For customers considering an alternative vehicle platform, our Hyundai Staria VIP conversion service presents further bespoke interior possibilities.
Each new project requires a separate assessment of the vehicle, passenger numbers, intended use and selected equipment.
Silver VIP Design in Johannesburg
